     The city of New York is the biggest financial city of the United States and is also the biggest financial hub of the world. Currently, the city has 303 skyscrapers and thousands of other high-rise buildings, which made it ranked as the second largest skyscraper city in the world. The city of New York is preceded by Hong Kong and followed by Dubai.

It has currently an estimated 8.62 million residents, which made it the largest populated city in the United States. New York city is followed by Los Angeles city which has an estimated 3.99 million population. So, New York City is two times bigger than the 2nd most populated city in the United States.

It is a famous symbol of freedom and one of the greatest American Icons. The statue is most famous among tourists and it is visited by millions of tourists a year.

     The New York Public Library (NYPL) was established in 1895. It has a collection of 53 million books and other items and  has 3,150 staff's for its maintenance. It is currently the second largest library in the United States after the Library of Congress and the third largest in the world.

     The city of New York is home to the headquarters of many international organisations including the United Nations Organisations. The UN headquarters were set-up in New York city in 1945.

This is the only building in the entire New York City which has its own ZIP code.
